What is General Servicing?

General Servicing refers to basic cleaning, maintenance and regular check-up in aircon servicing.

Every air-conditioners should be checked every 3 or 4 months. Getting regular general servicing will prolong the lifespan of your air-conditioners as it allows technician to spot and address issues earlier.

Why Do Air-Conditioners Need Regular Servicing?

• For a clean living environment – With regular servicing, air filters are kept cleaned. A lack of servicing will allow dust to accumulate over the air filters which would cause filters to be clogged. That being said, the air that passes through the filters would be dusty. Dust has many adverse effects on our health, such as irritation of the eyes, coughing, sneezing, asthma attacks and many more!
• Improves efficiency – The efficiency of the air-conditioning system is better with regular servicing as there is no obstruction to the movement of air with clean air filter, evaporator coil and fan rotor which therefore allows the room to cool down faster. With lack of servicing, air movement is blocked. The compressor will have to work harder to achieve the desired temperature. This means that the air-conditioning system will have to consume more electricity.
• Problems can be addressed earlier – With regular servicing, technicians can spot and address issues immediately before the issue worsen.
